I Am a Disciple-maker
The great commission is, at its heart, an outward movement of people, bringing heaven to earth.
When rabbi Jesus said “follow me”, it meant 3 things:
- To be chosen (John 15:16),
- To operate in and under His authority and influence (Matt 28:18),
- To be a disciple-maker (Matt 28:19-20).
Just as the original disciples of Jesus partnered with him, their rabbi, the co-mission to make disciples of all nations extends this divine partnership to us today, to the very end of the age.
It's an authority to live beyond the limits of human possibility, an assurance that we are chosen, and a heart that views our world through faith.
